Time for me is running out
Words of reason can not save me
My only crime was taking an alternate route
I simply wanted to be free
They called me a traitor to the throne
It appears to be an act of treason
To make a decision of your own
I spoke out against the king
Against his reign of slavery
Now I am going to loose my life
For commiting the only act of bravery
The rope is tight around my neck
My knees begin to shake
The floor drops out from under me
This hangman has made a grave mistake"
